The George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston, Texas is the second largest airport in the state of Texas, after the airport in Dallas-Fort Worth International. It was developed by Airports Council International in 2008 as the 16th largest airport in the world, is among nearly 42 million passengers this year. The airport is located near Border Ville and Cypresswood Golf Club and is about 22 miles north of downtown Huston. The airport has separate and spreads over 10,000 acres of land.

In 2008, the IAI has also received the number eight among the busiest airports in North America. Among the top ten airports in the United States, the IAI is the fastest growing, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation. Huston is also the largest hub for Continental Airlines. Continental launches an average of 700 daily departures from IAH.

Located between the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW) terminal is the busiest air in the entire state is the third airport in the world in terms of activity and vehicle theft for eight busiest passenger traffic (after the data of 2009). In terms of size, DFW Terminal offers the second largest aircraft in the U.S. (just behind Denver International) and fourth in the world. Dallas is tied with Chicago O’Hare International for the largest number of non-intersection take-off and landing strips for aircraft, both with seven. The DFW airport terminal is often referred to as a separate city, Texas, since it is an individual zip code, post office and a board of Dallas, Fort Worth, and four surrounding towns (Irving, Coppell, Grapevine and Euless).

With five terminals of the airport, the team, the Dallas goals for the future expansion built into the back of her mind, like the five terminals are activated to mount up to 8 more for a total of 13 terminals with 250 gates, to later can be installed. Note an interesting fact about DFW terminals is that 85% of all incoming and outgoing flights of American Airlines, which effectively reduces the presence of competitor airlines at DFW operated at a minimum (ie narrowing of Delta Air Lines, 256 daily flights to DFW in the year 2004 to only 21 in 2005).

In response to a growing number of Texans that the Transportation Security Administration has its limits believe with a full body pat-downs exceeded at airports, Governor Rick Perry asked the Texas House Bill 1937, as HB 41 in the current special legislative period. The measure is set for a public hearing in the House Committee on criminal justice.
